Université Sorbonne Paris Nord

The Université Sorbonne Paris Nord (USPN), founded in 1969, is a major academic and research center in the north of Paris. USPN is a comprehensive university in initial and continuing education with five faculties delivering diplomas from undergraduate studies to PhD level:

  • Health, Medicine and Human Biology
  • Literature, Languages, Human and Social Sciences
  • Law, Political and Social Sciences
  • Communication
  • Sciences – Economic and Management Sciences

In addition to these faculties, the university has the Institut Galilée which covers Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Engineering Sciences, and three institutes of technology with vocational undergraduate degrees and professional Bachelor degrees. The university undertakes research in 28 laboratories, some of them with worldwide reputation. USPN is also a founding member of the Sorbonne Paris Cité association (Science Po Paris, Institut de physique du globe, University of Paris), the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme and the Condorcet Campus (11 establishments), one of the world’s leading research centres in the human and social sciences.
